RCIA
RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, the process through which adults become Catholic Christians.
Who It’s For
RCIA welcomes adults who are considering becoming Catholic, as well as adult Catholics who have not yet received Confirmation or First Communion. It’s a time of discernment, offering the opportunity to explore the faith without commitment before deciding whether to join the Church.
How It Works
The group meets weekly on Thursday evenings from September through May. Depending on where each person is in their faith journey, the process can take one to two years or longer.
Children Ages 7–12
Children in this age range go through a parallel process, adapted for them, called RCIC. See RCIC for details.
